At Hozuko, we strive to create a safe and trustworthy environment for everyone. Verifying your account helps us achieve this by ensuring that each user has a real identity backing their profile. Here's why verification matters:
Listings from verified accounts appear before listings from unverified accounts in search results, which means greater visibility and more approaches from potential renters.
Verified accounts are seen as more credible, making interactions smoother and safer.
By verifying accounts through Singpass, we create a layer of accountability. With a verified identity, users are more accountable for their actions, promoting a safer community.
We use Singpass, Singapore's trusted digital authentication system, for account verification. Singpass is widely recognized as a secure way to confirm a person’s identity as a Singapore resident, registered with the government.
When you verify your account through Singpass:
We don’t collect sensitive personal data like your NRIC/FIN number, date of birth, registered address, etc.
We collect a Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) to confirm your identity while respecting your privacy.
This approach strikes the right balance between security and privacy, ensuring your identity is verified without compromising sensitive information.
A UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) is a string of random characters. Every individual in the Singpass system has a UUID. Like an NRIC/FIN number, it can uniquely identify an individual. However, unlike an NRIC/FIN number, a UUID is only meaningful within the Singpass system and has no significance outside of it in most cases.
Here's what a UUID looks like:
